Cette thèse intitulée : « Les relations Gabon-Francophonie institutionnelle (ACCT-OIF) de 1970 à nos jours» se propose d’analyser et de comprendre les relations de coopération entre le Gabon et l’organisation internationale de la Francophonie. Il s’agit d’une part, d’historiciser le parcours évolutif des rapports entre ces deux acteurs des relations internationales en interrogeant ses fondements axés sur les vestiges d’un passé colonial, les dynamiques complexes des relations entretenues et d’autre part, les effets induis de cette coopération sur le processus de développement du Gabon. Avec plus de cinquante années de coopération multiformes, d’assistance technique multisectorielle, d’appuis financiers aux projets de développement, cette étude se présente comme un bilan des activités de la Francophonie au Gabon depuis 1970. La Francophonie n’a cessé de séduire le Gabon et occupe une place de choix parmi la pléiade des Organisations Internationales (OI) dont il est membre. C’est une organisation jouit d’un statut privilégié pour le Gabon en abritant son siège sous régionale (BRAC-OIF) à Libreville, mais aussi de l’intérêt particulier que lui accorde les autorités gabonaises depuis Omar Bongo.

This thesis entitled: « Institutional Gabon-Francophonie relations (ACCT-OIF) from 1970 to the present day » aims to analyze and understand the cooperative relations between Gabon and the international organization of La Francophonie. It is about, on the one hand, historicizing the evolutionary course of relations between these two actors of international relations by questioning its foundations based on the vestiges of a colonial past, the complex dynamics of the relations maintained and, on the other hand, the induced effects of this cooperation on Gabon’s development process. With more than fifty years of multifaceted cooperation, multisectoral technical assistance, financial support for development projects, this study presents itself as an assessment of the activities of La Francophonie in Gabon since 1970. La Francophonie has never ceased to seduce the world. Gabon and occupies a prominent place among the pleiad of International Organizations (IOs) of which it is a member. It is an organization enjoys a privileged status for Gabon by housing its sub-regional headquarters (BRAC-OIF) in Libreville, but also of the special interest granted to it by the Gabonese authorities from Omar Bongo.
